Psychotherapy in English
Psychotherapy in English is a form of psychological treatment provided to individuals who prefer to work in English or require therapy in a non-Polish language. The therapeutic process is tailored to the client’s individual needs and focuses on understanding emotional difficulties, maladaptive patterns of thinking and behavior, and challenges in everyday functioning. Therapy is conducted in a structured, supportive, and confidential setting, in accordance with professional and ethical standards. Depending on the nature of the presented difficulties, psychotherapy may be conducted within the cognitive-behavioral (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) framework. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on identifying and modifying unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, as well as developing effective coping strategies. Dialectical behavior therapy emphasizes emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and balancing acceptance with change. The choice of therapeutic approach is discussed collaboratively and adjusted to the client’s goals and capacities. Psychotherapy in English may be helpful for individuals experiencing anxiety, mood difficulties, emotional dysregulation, stress, interpersonal problems, or ongoing life challenges. It is particularly suited for expatriates, international professionals, and students living in Poland. Sessions are held in a safe and respectful environment and last approximately 50 minutes. Therapy may take place in person or online. The service is available only for adults.
